Mark your calendars for next week. The final speaker in this year's Goodwin Lecture Series is the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire. Robinson's public lecture will be given Tuesday November 27 at 6:00pm, with a reception to follow.
From this year's Goodwin Symposium co-coordinator Professor Anthony Niedwiecki:
Bishop Robinson is the first openly gay Episcopalian Bishop, which has caused a great deal of discussion and fracturing within the church. He will be speaking to us on how religion influences the determination of LGBT rights, and how he reconciled his religion with his own identity.
Missed one of the previous speakers? Videos of the talks by Suzanne Goldberg, David Mixner, and Matt Foreman are now available at the Goodwin Lecture Series webpage.
